St. Patrick’s Day… continued.

March 18, 2009

Mmm… the whole house smelled like pepper and garlic when I got home from work. Our Corned Beef and Cabbage was really tasty. The best part was that it was so easy to make. Pretty much throw everything into the crockpot and wait.

  • Beef Brisket
  • Half or a whole bulb of garlic
  • A Bay leaf or two
  • A palm full of Peppercorns
  • A bottle or two of beer (and maybe one more for you)

Throw it all into the crockpot on low and wait. After 4 hours, add a head of cabbage, quartered, and some potatoes. Wait one more hour and you’ve got St. Patrick’s Day dinner!

It tasted very spicy. Hawaiian Rolls go well with this dinner if the spice is too much for you.
