Week 25 – Eggplant

February 12, 2010

Baby’s now the size of an eggplant!
That oh-so-handy sense of equilibrium is kicking in, and baby’s learning to distinguish right side up from upside down.

How far along: 25 Weeks
Maternity clothes: I’m still wearing my regular jeans with a rubber band looped on the button and the Bellaband to cover the zipper. I just might get away with no maternity pants!
Total weight gain: 17 lbs
Sleep: Sleep is so hard to come by. I’m trying to get at least 8 hours each night.
Best moment this week: Jason surprising me with earrings for our Dating Anniversary. Eleven years!!
Movement: Bigger kicks each week.
Food cravings: Milk. I don’t think I’m lactose intolerant right now. I can drink a big glass of milk with no bad side effects.
Food aversions: Nothing.
Gender: A strong baby boy.
What I miss: Hanging out with Jason while he’s smoking outside.
What I am looking forward to: Decorating a nursery.
Milestones: The structures of baby’s spine are now made up of 150 joints, 33 rings and some 1,000 ligaments! No wonder I’ve been so tired!

More people at work are noticing that I’m pregnant and telling me congratulations. It’s really nice now that they don’t think I’ve just been getting fat over the last few months.

My bones have been popping a lot lately. Y’know the cracking noise that comes from your knees when you stand up? It’s coming from my knees, arms, hips, etc.

If you want to find out more about what’s happening with the baby this week, read up the info at theBump.com and 3D Pregnancy.
