Week 30 – Green Cabbage

March 19, 2010

Baby’s now the size of a green cabbage!
As baby’s skin smoothes out, her brain just keeps getting more wrinkled. All those grooves and indentations increase surface area, meaning more room for that oh-so-essential brain tissue. She’s also adding some brawn — her grip is now strong enough to grasp a finger.

How far along: 30 Weeks
Maternity clothes: I’m still wearing my regular jeans with the bella band! My doctor thought it was kinda cute I was still in them.
Total weight gain: 23 lbs
Belly Button: When is this thing going to pop? I heard it would pop by week 27 but it hasn’t yet.
Sleep: Sleep is good, Sleep is great, Though I’m too busy to sleep even eight.
Best moment this week: Recording a video of the baby creating waves on my tummy.
Food cravings: Milk and oreos.
Food aversions: Nothing.
Gender: A bouncing baby Boy.
What I miss: Not worrying if I haven’t eaten all my vegetables in a day.
What I am looking forward to: The upcoming baby showers. I get gifts and I get to see Tiffany and Cole.
Milestones: His brain is developing at a rapid pace.

I’m still drinking gatorade to help with my dizziness. It seems to help a little. I still get dizzy but not near as often.

I actually got a video of my tummy with the moving bumps stetching one way then the other! I’m going to post it to the Gallery and give a link here.

If you want to find out more about what’s happening with the baby this week, read up the info at theBump.com and 3D Pregnancy.
